Doon School is a private school and one of the well-known schools of India. As soon as the name of the famous Doon School is remembered, it reminds of the famous Doon Schol, where only children of rich people can study.
A large number of scholarships are being started on the occasion of completion of 75 years of Doon School. The school's principal Peter MacLollin has supported the proposal to reserve one-fourth of the seats in the public schools for the poorer classes. The headmaster of Doon School, Peter MacLollin, in a special conversation with the BBC said, "Now India is a strong power and the whole world wants to connect with India. We want to increase the scope of Doon School in this regard and also its concerns."
In response to this question that only the children of the rich people study, he said, "We want people from every class to read in our school. Here children of famous and wealthy people definitely study, but there are many children who have become wealthy and famous after reading from here."
Students who have studied from this school will later become special educationists and public officials, engineers, chartered accountants and successful entrepreneurs.
